Welcome to British International School, Dakar

At BISD, we are committed to nurturing young minds through a world-class, inquiry-based education that inspires curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.

We currently cater to foundation and primary levels. We are actively developing our Middle School, with Year 7 due to start in September 2027, and further year groups to follow. Prospective families may register their interest for our Middle School at our school office.

Delivering the Cambridge International Curriculum, our academic approach is designed to develop well-rounded, globally minded pupils who excel both in and beyond the classroom. With an unwavering dedication to academic rigour, character development, and innovation, we provide a supportive yet challenging environment where every child is empowered to reach their full potential.

Our ethos, encapsulated in our motto Summa Peto—"I seek the highest"—reflects our pursuit of excellence in all aspects of education.
